South Brent Repower

South Brent Community Energy Society installed a Vestas V27 wind turbine, rated at 225kW back in September 2013. As pioneers of wind energy in the south west region, the society used its surplus income from the sales of power to award significant grants across the community. Following a major component failure in May 2024, Greenstoker are working with South Brent Community Energy and on behalf of the Devon Energy Collective CIC to look at options for its future.
